Wow what a Hidden Gem at Broadway and 11th Street. Had a steak burrito last night. I have to say it was almost like somebody's mother made this meal. My now go to for Mexican food in Rockford. Everything was five stars definitely will be back. They have an everyday special three tacos for six bucks. Can't wait to go back to try them. Along with my burrito I made it a dinner and got Spanish rice and refried beans. Normally when I order Spanish rice at a Mexican restaurant it's basically Bland there's really no taste to it it's orange colored and such and little specks here and there of corn and stuff like that but normally it's rather Bland and has no flavor. This Spanish rice actually had flavor I wish there was more on my plate and on top of that it was also in my steak burrito what a treat. Again five stars, will be going back there very soon, again my definite go to for Mexican food.

I did come in about 90 minutes before close, so first off, they did great considering that. Our waitress didn't speak great English, and one of us asked to switch what they wanted after hearing what someone else ordered, and the switch didn't happen. However, everyone was happy with what they got. It was fast, fresh, and not too burdening on the wallet. Would definitely return.

First and foremost. Thank you very much to everyone who took their time to review this hidden gem. Being born and raised Chicago allowed me to taste cuisine from around the globe. I have recently spent a lot of time eating and exploring Mexico. I must say that on a good day, this place can go head to head with some of Chicago's best known family owned Mexican restaurants. Great portions, great staff, fresh food for a great price. My favorites are the Steak burritos with extra meat. Chicken flauta dinner, Steak tacos and Menudo on weekends. Their breakfast are also very very delicious. Enjoy They also have a full bar, gaming machines and a bakery if you have a sweet tooth.

Update 3-14-22 4 to 3 Had the Pompazo* steak torta -Was not good at all I took four bites, got my check tipped and left like a gentleman. The steak was terrible I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Didn't take my food home, wasn't offered anything in exchange or a sorry. Both the gals working where nice though. Was my second time back here and last. The gal that waited on me was pleasent and delightful. Ordered a steak buritto, It was decent the steak was flavourful and a good size for the price 7.64$ w tax. The chips and salsa were good. The green and red suace wasn't the best but it wasn't terrible. The salsa on the other hand was very effen good. I'd definitely go back to try something else or for another burrito. Really my only complaint would be to serve the food hotter and have a better hot suace with a bit more flavor and heat.
